Suwanti Farmer
Has worked as a clinical psychologist in university, mental health and educational settings in Germany , United Kingdom , Indonesia and in Australia since 1982.
Suwanti and her husband Ron Farmer have been conducting workshops in Human Values Education since 1985 in Australia and internationally with the main focus being on teachers and parents undergoing personal self-transformation so as to become good role models for the children in their care. They blend the latest research findings in neuroscience, positive psychology and values-based education.
She is a founding director of Toogoolawa School in Australia which for the past 25 years has provided free, full-time Human Values Education for boys whose behaviour makes them unwelcome in mainstream schools.
Ron and Suwanti have self-published a number of books on values-based education in recent years titled The Mindful Teacher in Human Values Education; Mindful Parenting for a Meaningful Life; Handbook for Rediscovering Authentic Happiness in the Closing Years of our Life; Self Awareness in Early Childhood and Love Changes Everything.
